| Inspired by his Oscar nominated short film, Taika Waititi's BOY is set in 1984 in a rural community in New Zealand. At the center of the story is eleven year-old Boy, a high-spirited adolescent obsessed with American pop culture and Michael Jackson. When his absent father returns from a stint in prison, Boy discovers a lovable loser instead of the adventurer he imagined.
